Here’s another great national holiday commemorating our armed forces and what they have done for us. Formerly Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I, it was switched to Veteran’s Day in 1954. What a great way to remember Veterans who have made this country what it is. Try contacting your local VFW or American Legion. Many of them are happy to come out and do a flag-folding ceremony or something of that like for you. They have a lot to say and love to give back. As a way of showing appreciation, write letters and color pictures for them. They’ll love the effort and attention of any child that honors their time spent and sacrifices made on behalf of our nation.
